General accounting tasks including:
Complete 75-80 bank reconciliations per month. Retrieve and review credit card chargeback information from hotels. Follow up with hotel and credit card companies on status of chargebacks.
Review and process direct bill and credit applications for VP of Finance.
Prepare deposits for Buffalo Lodging and its hotels.
Sort and deliver mail to departments.
Sign checks for Accounts Payable.
Verify cash deposits made by the hotels against daily paperwork.
Answer main Buffalo Lodging phone line; issue memos and letters needed by the staff; update and issue contact list; place office supply orders; place UPS shipments.
Complete FF&E reserve applications for disbursements.
A related Associate’s degree, or one to two years related accounting experience is required. Ability to develop an understanding of concepts, practices, pre-established guidelines and procedures used by the company in relation to guest service is necessary. Must be tech savvy.
